VITITI CONGO - BIZANGO RITE
This Website is sponsored by the American Candomble Church and the founder of our religious tradition Carlos Antonio De Bourbon Galdiano Montenegro.
In the year 1864, a black woman who worked on the Montenegro Family coffee plantation in the lush tropical mountains just outside of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil by the name of Paola Fernandes initiated Matilda Andrade De Bourbon-Montenegro into the Mysteries of the Congo Religion. In the 1920’s the Montenegro Family migrated to the United States of America and brought with them the sacred mysteries of the Congo religious tradition known as Vititi Congo Bizango. In the 1920’s through the 1980’s, the Casa Montenegro was governed by the Montenegro Family Matriarch, Maria Miranda De Bourbon-Montenegro until her death at the age of 98. In 1986, Carlos Antonio De Bourbon-Montenegro inherited the hereditary position and became the Patriarch of the Casa Montenegro Spiritual Temple. In 2003, the Casa Montenegro Spiritual Temple was organized into the American Candomble Church to preserve the unique and historical Vititi Congo Bizango religious tradition and the Brazilian Candomble Orixa Mysteries that have been uniquely practiced by the Montenegro Family of Brazil and have survived successfully for more than 146 years. The founder of the American Candomble Church, Carlos Antonio De Bourbon Galdiano Montenegro would like to welcome you to our Website. This Website is for all religious practitioners of the sacred Congo Mysteries. - We hope that you enjoy it and come back soon to visit us
